The Mission of Oregon Scottish Rite Clinics is to help young
children communicate. Our Vision is that all of Oregon’s
young children have the communication skills necessary to
succeed at home, in school and in life by the time they enter
kindergarten.
“The improvement Andy has shown in the just seven
months is remarkable. His ability to communicate, as well
as his behavior, are no longer insurmountable problems.”
– Carolyn J., Parent
“We can hear such a huge difference in his speech,
and more importantly, he is proud of himself.”
– Kristen and Kurt L., Parents
KidTalk is the primary program
of Oregon Scottish Rite Clinics. It is an intensive, one-on-one
speech-language therapy program exclusively for preschool
children and conducted by licensed speech-language pathologists.
Most children take part in 45 minute sessions twice a week.
Specific treatment goals are set for each child that participates
in our program after reviewing evaluation results and consulting
with parents and the child’s other health professionals.
Clinicians use a number of tools and methods including play,
toys, flash cards, sign language and games to achieve results,
making it a pleasure for children to visit the clinic. Parents
are encouraged to watch sessions from observation rooms and
are provided with plenty of opportunity to discuss their child’s
progress with the clinician. Click here for enrollment information.
Oregon Scottish Rite Clinics also provides Public
Education and Professional Education Programs.
